Exclusions,
terms and conditions
- Accident,
sickness or critical illness arising from a pre-existing medical condition
which:-
i)
you knew about or ought reasonably to have known about at the start
of cover
ii) consulted or received treatment for
from your doctor within the
last 12 months before the start of cover and which recurs during
the first 24 months after the start of cover
- Accident
and sickness, critical illness or death arising from suicide or drug/alcohol
abuse
- Accident
or sickness arising from normal pregnancy or childbirth, unless there
is a medical complication, back related conditions, unless supported
by radiological evidence of medical abnormality and some mental disorders
including stress
- If your
critical illness occurs within the first 30 days of commencement of
cover
- If you
know that you are about to be made unemployed when you apply for cover,
or receive notification of unemployment within 90 days of commencement
of cover, or you have received payment in lieu of notice
- If you
resign or take voluntary unemployment, you are dismissed due to misconduct,
or if unemployment is a regular or recurring feature of your job
- Due to
voluntary insolvency if you are self-employed
- After
some fixed term contracts
- War or
terrorism, or similar risk
Whilst each policy's cover is comprehensive,
it is important to know what exactly is covered and not covered under
the terms of the policy agreement.
